This Commonwealth Avenue brownstone condo was redesigned as a modern bachelor residence with a clear emphasis on entertaining and effortless living. Spanning the width of a double fronted brownstone, the home already offered generous gathering space which we enhanced by transforming a closed office into a wine room connected to the main sitting areas through a new cased opening. The result is a fluid layout that supports hosting while preserving the elegance expected of a historic Back Bay property.

The design pairs contemporary furniture with select classic pieces, creating a collected and confident aesthetic that feels both current and grounded. A neutral beige palette sets a calm foundation while vivid accents in acid toned pillows and custom commissioned artwork bring energy and personality to the space. Custom furnishings and bespoke art further define the home, giving each room a tailored sense of place.

Private rooms were furnished individually for the client and his twin daughters, combining comfort with modern refinement. The completed residence blends present day style with the charm of its brownstone architecture, creating an inviting and sophisticated home overlooking the iconic Commonwealth Avenue Mall.
