We have just begun renovating our clients’ vision of a traditional styled kitchen and powder room. Adding a small extension allows us to transform the space for custom built-in banquette seating with full depth storage; the perfect breakfast nook for the whole family!
The new layout allows for a much-desired island, including built-it bookcase on one end to display our client's array of cookbooks. In order to maximize storage, we have formed a tall pantry cabinet at one end and built-in magic corner the other.
We have tucked the powder room along one side and incorporated a space saving pocket door to maximize the footprint.
For the color palette our client wants to keep it neutral with the cabinets in white, however, their love of color is highlighted in the green "Emerald City Arabesque" Glass Mosaic tiled backsplash and blown glass pendants with a green hue.
POWDER ROOM CONCEPT
The bathroom will follow suit with touches of green, including the Clayton Herringbone patterned wallpaper in the shade aqua and a sage green single vanity, with Carrara marble counter.
Favored curved highlights are incorporated in both spaces, within the lighting, tile, wallpaper, hardware and round beveled frameless vanity mirror for a transitional styling touch.
The above photos show the gutted space and framing in progress. It’s great to get going with following the Covid delay to our starting date!
